An absolutely gorgeous Antique French Silver Pie Serving implement or Pie Server by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ François Pamphile Jozan.
The handle is simple yet elegant in ebony wood.
The server itself is absolutely impressive…The handle attaches to the server with a carved fruit basket, while the server itself shows a lovely cut décor of floral scrolls.
This gorgeous piece is impressive in its size!
The Hallmark is Michael Angelo Hallmark (Poincon Au Vieillard) -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1819 to 1838 – Paris
The Makers Mark shows the François Pamphile Jozan , and shows an F and J separated by two crossed oars with 2 dots. This Mark was registered on August 12th 1824 and cancelled on January 7th 1836.
His workshop was located 19 rue Simon Le Franc in Paris.
