A Gorgeous Antique French Silver and Cut Crystal Carafe Pair by ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ TETARD Frères.

The theme is definitely Rocaille or Louis XVI, with the upper body covered with a beautifully worked silver piece, decorated with roses and ribbons as well as acanthus leaves.

The handles mirror an intricate scroll of acanthus leaves which widen at the bottom to hold the crystal bodies.
The spouts are duck bill shaped and share the same floral design already used, while the finials showcase an acanthus knob.
The lid itself is decorated with a delicate laurel garland.
The interior of the lid is gold washed.

The crystal bodies are worked in the Intaglio style with geometric designs as well as floral garlands and flowing ribbons.
The bottom is wheel cut into a star shape.

The Pair is adorned with a dainty Marquis Crown.

They are intact, no losses to the silver and no marks on the crystal –just Gorgeous! It is extremely rare to find such a pair is this shape.
