Gorgeous Silver Oil And Vinegar Cruet Stand By Ruchmann~Sold~

A Gorgeous Antique French Silver and Crystal Oil and Vinegar Cruet Stand by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ L RUCHMANN

This ‘Restauration’ Style Oil and Vinegar Cruet is fast becoming one of our favourite pieces.
The work is particularly refined and beautifully rendered with the charming Cupids holding their bows, while enclosed in a garland of silver roses.
The tall centre handle, which links the two cruets fittings, ends in a rounded handle, decorated with the same silver roses. Between the cruets are two little beautifully decorated rounded stands on which you can set the stoppers of the hand blown crystal liners.
The crystal of the liners is elegantly wheel cut on the sides into diamond shapes.
The stoppers show the same diamond cuts.
The cruets stand on a square base lined at the bottom by a delicate ‘Palmettes’ fringe, resting on 4 winged lions’ paws.

The piece is absolutely gorgeous and in a great state! No losses no marks.
The crystal liners are beautiful! Heavy, elegantly worked and showing no damages or scratches.
It is quite rare to find such a piece in this state.

The height given above is taken at the top of the handle-The width and length is that of the stand itself.

The Hallmark is Poinçon Au Vieillard or Michael Angelo Hallmark -1st title (950/1000) – 1819-1838 – Paris
