Gorgeous Pair of Silver Cherub Salt Cellars By Magnen~Sold~

A charming find and definitely a Coup De Cœur for us!

These two lovely Antique French Silver open salt caddies or Salt Cellars are by renowned Maître Orfèvre Auguste MAGNEN.

They feature gorgeously rendered Merman like Cherubs with little arms extending to hold on to Seashells that are actually the salt cellar.
The Cherubs are beautifully carved with their legs endings in double fish tails swirling around the seashell.
The shell itself is carved with lovely details and accuracy and rest on 3 feets made of carved algae.
We will let the pictures speak for themselves, but it is a sincerely lovely pair!

They are in excellent condition.
