A Gorgeous Antique French Silver and Cobalt Crystal ‘Jardinière’ in the Louis XVI style by RISLER & CARRÉ.
The ‘Jardinière’, or Flower center table if you would, was used in a variety of ways in order to embellish the table, by either setting flowers or fruits or other items that could enhance the set up.
I use mine during dinners with either peonies and roses or wilder plant arrangements and the effect is incredible!
You can judge by the presentation photos!
But you can use it in many other ways: to present fruits or sweets, to present caviar, or simply decorated with free standing candles in the middle of the table – The candles will bring out the cobalt blue of the crystal to an amazing effect!
This particular piece shows a lovely cut out work on the gallery which holds the cobalt blue crystal insert. Laurel branches, rosettes and floral scrolls grace the gallery with their repetition.
The work is exquisite and extremely refined, just gorgeous really!
The cobalt blue insert is in perfect condition with no chips or losses. The silver gallery is in a pristine condition without any losses or dents to it!
A beautiful piece!
