Gorgeous Silver And Crystal Punch Bowl By E Molle~Sold~

A Gorgeous Antique French Gold Plated Silver (or Vermeil) and Crystal Punch Bowl by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Edmond MOLLE.

The crystal is beautifully worked in the Intaglio Style showing Strawberry plants and flowers and is wheel cut on the sides and in a star formation at the bottom.
The upper part of the Bowl is lined in an incredibly delicate band of Gold Plated or Vermeil in French, Antique Silver showcasing a beautiful cornflower wreath.

The silver weight given is that of the fine cut silver & vermeil band on the upper part of the sugar bowl.

Though it is conceived a fruit punch bowl it can be used in a variety of ways: for fruits salads or other salads per example.
The piece is in an excellent conditions, no chips no marks just perfect!

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ Edmond MOLLE.
It shows an E and the Name ‘MOLLE’written out with a clover leaf underneath.
Edmond Molle was the successor to Alexandre Torrez. He registered his mark on May 11th 1898. The Mark was cancelled on September 25th 1919.He specialized in silver mounted crystal pieces.
He was located at 114 Rue Du Temple in the Marais area of Paris.
