Ink and Watercolor Drawing Of The Prussian Grenadiers in 1815

Interesting and delicate Ink, Ink Wash, and Watercolors rendering of 4 members of the Prussian Grenadiers.

Looking at their uniforms they are part of the Royal Guard in the Grenadiers Division of the Prussian Army.
That regiment would have served during 1815, and hence during the Waterloo Battle.
The drawing is masterful with the movements of the firing soldiers perfectly rendered.
The fallen soldier’s attitude showing him protecting his head is lifelike!
All points to an excellent draftsman and could be the work of Detaille, but this small drawing is not signed.

It is beautifully framed in a gilt wood period frame and in perfect condition.

The Frame measures 9 1/2 ” x 8 3/4 ”
The Drawing measures 5 ” x 4 1/4 ”
