Lovely Antique French Silver Bonbons Service Set By P Canaux

A Lovely Antique French Silver And Vermeil ‘Bonbons’ (Candy) Service Set by Paul CANAUX & Cie.

Though called a Bonbons Service Set, these pieces were more considered as dessert service sets and could come with several different implements.
This complete set is in its original box, which is in good condition.

The pieces are etched with a beautiful Rocaille Design Of floral scrolls and seashells typical of the Louis XV style.
The handles are really gorgeous.
The work on the spoon cup and fork tines is also very delicate with floral scrolls etched into the silver.
Both the tines and spoon bowls are covered with 18 carat gold.

Starting by looking at the full picture of the implements, on the left hand side we have a ‘Bonbons’ Spoon or Candy Spoon, it is 5.51 inches long.
The second implement is a delicate Sugar tongs measuring 4.33 inches long.
The third implement is a Candied Fruit fork, which stands 5.51 inches long.
The last implement is a Strawberry Spoon; also measuring 5.51 inches.
