An Elegant Antique French Silver Large Coffee Pot by François PASSERON in the refined Regency style.

The work on this piece is the perfect transcription of the expression ‘Less is More’
The Coffee pot is beautifully polished and baluster shaped, with a charming clean cut duck bill for a spout.
It stands on three little feet which are actually lions paws.
The lid is rounded and topped by a nut.
The handle is in carved mahogany, which can be removed for cleaning.

The beauty lies in the lovely, rounded balance, and the perfect size of the piece!
Quite generous in size it can hold up to 5 cups of coffee.

The rarity of this piece lies in the Maker of which only a very few pieces remain today.

The Hallmark is Old Woman’s Head-1st title Silver (950/1000) 1819-1838 – Lyon.

The Makers Mark is for François PASSERON who registered his mark in 1819 and canceled it in 1838.
It shows his 2 initials separated by a caduceus.
He was registered and held shop in Lyon.
