A Lovely Antique French Silver Ice Cream Service Set with Russian Style handles.
The spoon and the sickle are plated silver while the handle is in silver worked in a high relief motif.
The carving on the sickle and the spoon are Japanese Style inspired and depict a cute little crested Tit playing among leaves and flowers and on the spoon chasing a butterfly.
This type of décor became quite the rage in the second half of the 1800s, due to the craze for all things Asian and Japanese in particular.
The handles are beautifully worked with high reliefs depicting intricate arabesques and floral scrolls. They end in a floral button.

They are set in their original presentation box, and are in great condition!

We could unfortunately not identify the Makers Mark due to age wear, the only part visible being an A, guessing the full Mark would be too tricky.
