Lovely Antique French Silver Strawberry Service Set By H Soufflot

A Beautiful French Antique Silver and Vermeil Strawberry Service Set By Maître Orfèvre Henri Soufflot.

This original set is in its original box, which shows only light scruff marks on the outside of it. The pieces are etched in the Rocaille style with an acanthus leaves display as well as a tulip garland decorating the handles.
The Set includes a sea scallop shaped Strawberry service spoon beautifully etched.(9.5 inches long)
Then comes a Sugar Sifter Spoon with the bowl delicately pierced in the shape of a rose window. (8.26 inches long)
The bowls of both pieces show a 24 carat gold wash or vermeil while the handles remain in Silver.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title – 1838 -1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Henri SOUFFLOT and shows an H and an S topped by a rising sun with a star stamped below the letters.
His Mark was registered in April 1884 and cancelled in 1910.
He held shop at 84 Rue de Turbigo in Paris.
