A Lovely Antique French Silver and Crystal Decanter or ‘Carafe’ by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Adolphe VILLIEN

The Crystal has been worked in the Intaglio style (Hence the images are engraved into the crystal) showcasing rose bouquets set on four sides, while the body of the ‘carafe’ is wheel cut into fourteen flat panels.

The upper part of the decanter is lined with solid silver bearing a lovely rose and ribbons garland circling the lower part.
The same rose and ribbons garland can be found on the topper, which still has its original crystal insert.

The bottom of the carafe is wheel cut into a star shape.

The work is lovely and the piece is in excellent condition with no chips or marks.
