Lovely Antique Silver Bonbons Service Set By Hénin & Vivier

A Lovely Antique French Silver And Vermeil ‘Bonbons’ (Candy) Service Set by Maîtres Orfèvres Hénin & Vivier.

Though called a Bonbons Service Set, these pieces were more considered as dessert service sets and could come with several different implements.
This complete set is in its lovely original box, which is in great condition.
The pieces are etched with a beautiful Louis XV Rocaille Design Of floral scrolls and roses delicately presented.
The handles are worked with floral scrolls and combed waves as well as seashells.
The work on the petit four server and the fork tines is also very delicate with floral scrolls and acanthus leaves etched into the silver.
Both the tines and spoon bowls are covered with 18 carat gold.

Starting by looking at the full picture of the implements, on the left hand side we have a Crème spoon. measuring 4.88 inches
The second implement is a Candied Fruit fork; measuring 5.24inches.
The third implement is a delicate Sugar tongs measuring 4.96 inches long.
The fourth implement is a fondant or petit four server with a gorgeous cutout décor, it is 5.94 inches long.
The last implement is a strawberry spoon measuring 5.03 inches.
All pieces are in perfect state.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title – 1838 -1911 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for Maîtres Orfèvres & Viver. It shows an H the sign & and a V topped by a rosebud branch and a star underneath the letters.
The Mark was registered on 1891 and canceled on 1896.
Their workshop was located 77 rue des Archives in Paris.
