A Lovely Antique French Silver Strawberry Serving Set by Maître Orfèvre Edouard ERNIE.

The set features a gorgeous Strawberry Service Spoon, decorated with a lovely floral scroll.
The side of the spoon bowl is lightly scalloped.

The Sugar Sifter Spoon is a beauty with its bowl completely carved out in a foliage ‘repercé, while the bowl of the spoon attaches to the handle with a delicately carved laurel leaf branch leaf.

Both handles are worked with a gorgeous motif of a Chimera or Imaginary Dragon in ‘ronde bosse’.
Both pieces are intact.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title (950/1000)- 1838 -1919 – Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Edouard ERNIE.
It features his initials separated by a gaiter.
Ernie briefly partnered with Henri Gabert between 1879 and 1882. On July 11 1882, Ernie, registered his own mark and took over the workshop that his stepfather Jules Guérin had created earlier in the 1870s.
His workshop was located 7 rue Réaumur in Paris.
