Lovely Late 18th Century Oil on Canvas Still Life With Flowers

This Lovely still life with flowers reflects the ideal of painting staging of the late eighteenth century early nineteenth century.

Typical of the French Romantic school, the bouquet seems to emerge from the darkness, just illuminated by a ray of light.
The composition is symmetrical, in the center are the lilac, peonies, and, on either side of the vase two creepers of clematis with small white flowers.
