Lovely Louis XV Style Selfish Silver Coffee Pot By E Taburet

A Lovely French Silver Selfish Coffee Pot, or ‘Verseuse’ By ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Emile Taburet.

This charming piece features a turned wooden handle and is decorated in the Louis XV style it showcases a repoussé décor of lanceolate leaves, foliage and ribboned flowers in fall.
The bottom part of the coffee pot is chiseled with laurel leaves, while the finial features a floral bouquet. The details are charming! The concept of ‘Selfish’ coming from the fact you could only have 1 coffee in this lovely pot!
The spout is sweetly duck bill shaped with acanthus leaves carved underneath.
