Lovely Louis XVI Style Silver Melon Knives By Tetard ~Sold~

A very elegant and lovely Antique French Silver Melon Knives Set by renowned ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ TETARD Frères.
The silver handle is really lovely, worked in the Louis XVI style, showcasing rows of silver pearls and tulips chutes in the lightly paneled handle, ending in an acanthus leaf scroll.
The Blade is in plated metal and ends in the typical curved and split Tip which characterizes the Melon Knife.

Some still argue that it may also have served to eat lobster or even cheese, but it was created specifically for Melons.
It does however also work really well for cheese, as well as of course watermelon and other fruits!!!

Set in their original very well preserved presentation box, they are a perfect addition to a set and easy to place due to their lovely and elegant design.
They are in great condition, no mark or losses!
