A lovely Pair of Antique French Louis XVI Style Ormolu Cassolettes.
The two Cassolettes show a round white marble pedestal resting on spheres of gilt bronze and lined with acanthus leaves and bronze pearls.
The Body rises in the form of an antique column and give way to an urn shaped center decorated by acanthus leaves garlands and ribbons.
The top part is reversible enabling the pair to be turned either into a Pot Pourri or Candlesticks.
The gilding is vibrant.
This beautiful pair is entirely made of Gilt Bronze or Ormolu and date back to circa 1870.
