The main silver register is decorated with beautifully rendered rose garlands as well as ribbons, typical of Louis COIGNET’s delicate work.

The interior of the caddies or cellars are coated in 18 carat gold or ‘vermeillé’, which shows through the original clear glass inserts.
The interiors are in delicate blown glass which is intact.
Six dainty spoons s complete the set and are original to it. They show the same reed wreaths and a gold coated spoon bowl.

The salt cellars and spoons are in impeccable condition, and come in their original presentation box which features the name of the shop that sold them in Vitry Le Francois not too far from Reims
The box is in excellent condition with only very minor losses.
A charming detail, the box was a wedding gift and the person who had them kept the set in excellent condition, and saved the little tissue paper which protected the glass inserts on them.
We will be doing the same!

The Height and width given above is that of the salt cellars, the spoons measure 3.18 inches long.
