A lovely Antique French Silver & Mother of Pearl Spoon and Knife Dessert Service with a beautiful vermeil finish.
The handle attachments of two pieces are beautifully worked in gilded silver with scrolls and leaves as well as grape vines.
The handle itself is in heavy mother of pearl and bears a monogram reading BD as well as a Chimera head.
The blade of the knife is delicately carved with fruits, showing among other items beautiful renditions of a pomegranate, a pineapple, grapes and grape leaves.
There are no dents to the silver or losses to the Mother of Pearl handles, the pieces are in gorgeous condition.
They are featured in their original presentation box, which is intact on the inside with only very little wear on the outside.

The Hallmark is ‘Minerve’ 1 -1st title – 1838 -1911– Paris
The Makers Mark shows the last name of ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Auguste TOURON as well as his Mark. His mark was in sculpted in 1824. Touron specialized in cutlery and flatware often using the combination of mother of pearl and silver or gilded silver.
