Charming Suite of 12 Antique French Silver Oyster Forks by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Claude Doutre Roussel.

This lovely set takes after the Renaissance Style or Romantic Style that became popular again around the 1840 and continued until the late 1880s.
The handles are done with guilloche details with an acanthus details decorating the upper and lower part of the handle.
The end of the handle is a floral knob.
The set is just lovely.
They are perfect to hold and handle with a really great shape.

The Hallmark is ‘Minerve’ 1 -1st title – 1838 -1919– Paris

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Claude DOUTRE ROUSSEL and shows his last name double two domino underneath.
The Mark was registered on May 17th 1895.
His workshop was located 118 rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais Area of Paris.
