Rare And Gorgeous 36 pc Silver Knives Set By Boyer Callot ~Sold~

Rare and lovely set of 18 pc Antique French Silver Dinner Knives and 18 pc Antique French Silver Cheese or Dessert Knives, by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Francois Auguste Boyer Callot.

The Dinner Knives feature beautifully worked silver handles and steel blades.
The Cheese or Dessert Knives have identical beautifully worked silver handles and solid silver blades.
The handles showcase an exquisite laurel leave garland as well as a lovely Louis XV style medallion topped by carved leaves and a beautifully rendered silver ribbon design.
Inside the medallion we can find the initials CDR. The particularity being that the letters are actually not carved in, but are applied Silver Decorations, which beautifully stand out and are extremely rare!

The cheese or dessert knives are, as usual, slightly smaller then the dinner knives and are an exact replica on a smaller scale.
This set would also go beautifully with the Ernest Compère ‘Ménagère’ also featured on our website.

The two sets are in excellent condition with no abrasions or defaults or repairs! An extremely rare case for knives!

They come in two presentations boxes which are in very good condition except for light wear marks on the outside.
The measures given above are for the Dinner Knives. The Cheese or Dessert Knives are 7.9 inches long and 0.9 inches wide at the handle.
