Rare Antique Silver 10 Pieces Serving Implement Set ~Sold~

A beautiful French Antique Silver 10 piece Serving Set by Paul Massat.

This complete and original set is in its original box, which shows only light scruff marks on the outside of it. The pieces are etched in Louis XVI style with a beautiful guilloche design on the handles and a Monogram reading TB which is also reproduced on the outside of the presentation box.

In this set you a Meat Carving Knife and Fork, the stop device on the fork is not in silver but in copper and shows a Wolf’s head beautifully carved. A Salad Spoon and Fork with the carved bow and tines in ivory, which has not suffered from time (though we advise you to put a little olive oil on them after each time you will use them to retain the quality of the ivory).  A Fish Spoon and Knife, with the knife’s blade (pictured) showing a beautiful dolphin head and the fork, carved with wild reeds and swamp plants.

Then you have your wonderful hors d’oeuvre serving set, with going from bottom to top of the main picture, a Paté or Foie Gras laddle, an Olive Spoon, a pickled Gherkin spoon and a Sugar spoon.

All pieces are in great state. The only minor tarnish is on the blade of the carving knife. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a lovely set!
