Rare Antique Silver Serving Implement Set By HL Chenailler ~Sold~

A beautiful Antique French Silver 9 piece Serving Set by Henry Louis CHENAILLER.
This complete set is presented in its original box black monogrammed box.

The pieces are etched in Louis XVI style with a beautiful guilloche design on the handles and a Monogram reading BJ which is also reproduced on the outside of the presentation box.
The handles are delicately carved around with a wreath of beautifully rendered ears of corn, while the lower part finishes in a tied ribbon.

In this set you have a Meat Carving Knife & Fork; the stop device on the fork is not in silver but in copper (it is the only part apart from the ivory elements and the carving knife’s blade, that is not in silver) and shows a pheasant with its tail spreading out.
A Salad Spoon & Fork with the carved bow and tines in ivory, that has not suffered from time and is in great condition.
A Pie Server showcasing floral branches and a lovely hummingbird feeding midflight.
Then you have your wonderful hors d’oeuvre serving set, with going from bottom to top of the main picture, a Paté or Foie Gras Server, a Sugar spoon, an Olive Spoon, and finally pickled Gherkin fork.
All pieces are in great state. The only minor tarnish is on the blade of the carving knife.
The presentation box does show some minor age tarnishes.
Apart from that the set is in excellent condition!
