A Rare Solid French Silver Art Deco Cocktail Set by Maitres Orfèvres Deschamps Frères.
A special request, for the maker and for us since a client requested a French Shaker, this set includes the large solid silver shaker and 8 solid silver goblets.
Done in a pure Art Deco Style, they are simply decorated with grooved lines at the bottom of the items.
The rest of the piece is pure and perfectly in step with the Art Deco period.
All pieces are in perfect shape, no dents or losses.
The Shaker measures 8.46 inches high
The goblets measure 2.56 inches high
A rare set to come by s it is the first time we have seen one in French Silver.
The Hallmark is ‘Minerve’ 1 -1st title (950/1000) 1838 -1919– Paris
The Makers Mark is for ‘Maîtres Orfèvres’ Deschamps Frères and shows a D and Fres separated by the head of a rooster.
The Mark was registered on November 23rd 1923 and cancelled a few years later.
Their workshop was located 46 rue du Rocher in Paris
