Rare Set Of Three Antique Silver Presentation Plates By Bachelet

A Rare Set of three Antique French Silver Presentation Plates or Chaffing Dishes by ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Georges Bachelet.

Each plate bears an MT Monogram on the raised border.
The three plates show the same Louis XV style of décor and are edged with a thread and fiddle ornamentation.
Very classical and very elegant they can fit in any interior going from very classical to modern.
The Set consists of
1 Round bowl-shaped deeper plate measuring 10.62 inches in diameter – photo number 2
1 Round larger and flatter plate measuring 13.78 inches in diameter – photo number 5
1 Oval large plate measuring 19.29 inches long and 12.32 inches wide – photo number 3
They show light signs of use but are otherwise in great condition.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1 – for 1st title silver (950/1000) – Paris 1838/1919

The Makers Mark is for ‘Maître Orfèvre’ Georges BACHELET who registered his mark on January 17th 1877.
His Mark shows his two initials separated by a Pansy with a star above.
His workshop was first located 58 Quai des Orfèvres in Paris, then 13 Pont Neuf.
