Refined Antique French Silver and Crystal Presentation Bowls by P Fort

Refined French Antique Silver and Crystal Fruit Bowls or ‘Compotiers’ By Maitre Orfèvre Paul Fort.

The body of the ‘Compotiers’ are made of heavy wheel cut in diamond shapes crystal, circled on the upper rim by a beautiful silver band, decorated palmettos and
floral garlands.
The bowl rests on a ‘Piédouche’ or pedestal in French silver showing the same decoration.
They can be used in a myriad way, from Fruit presentation to Cookies presentations bowls, to even flowers or cakes for that matter!
They are both are in excellent condition! No chips or damages to the crystal or the silver.

The Hallmark is Minerve 1 -1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris

The Maker’s Mark is for Maître Orfèvre Paul Fort.
His Mark shows a P and an F with a Star in a Circle between them. The Mark was registered on August 26th 1910.
His workshop was located 42 rue de Turbigo.
