Rocaille Antique French Silver and Vermeil 14-piece Ice Cream Set or Flatware Service by ‘Maitre Orfèvre’ Louis Landry.
It features 12 individual spoons and 2 service pieces.
All pieces showcase the Rocaille style dear to the Louis XV era, and are decorated delicately with floral scrolls details.
The spoons bowls attach to the handles by a lovely stylized floral scroll an acanthus leaf.
The inside of the spoons is decorated by an engraved stylized wave and floral scrolls.
The right hand side of the spoons is slightly raised to make sure the ice cream does not fall off when you bring it to your mouth!
The service spoon and knife shows the same décor, albeit a little larger.
The details are very delicate, just exquisite really!
The individual spoons are 5.43 inches long
The Service Spoon is 9.05 inches long
The Knife server measures 11 inches long
While the service is originally intended for Ice Cream, it can definitely be used for fruit salads or desserts in general.
The spoons are great to handle, with perfect balance, a lovely way to add a little spark to your dessert time!
The set comes in its lovely original box which is in fair condition on the outside and very good condition on the inside.
