Stunning Pair of Antique French, Louis XVI Style, Gilt Bronze Covered Urns.
The two Urns show a square pedestal from which rises the beautifully bronze pearl and acanthus leaves decorated rounded base.
The Body is urn shaped and decorated by two beautifully carved grape vines garland and two incredibly detailed Ram’s heads.
The detail on the carving is absolutely gorgeous, truly a masterpiece.
The urns have lovely covers topped by a delicate berry resting on a crown of acanthus leaves.
This beautiful pair is entirely made of Gilt Bronze or Ormolu and date back to circa 1870.
