Gorgeous Pair of Ormolu French Restoration Period, Antique Vase Shaped Cassolettes.
This Gorgeous Pair of Gilt Bronze, Baluster Vase Shaped Cassolettes date back to Circa 1814-1820.
They rest on high Piedouche or Pedestals elaborately chased, knurled and beautifully gilded.
The Handles curl on each side with an acanthus and palmetto design, ending at the junction of the vases in a lightly chased rosette.
The upper part of the vases is gadrooned and decorated with spokes of heart while its lower part is chiseled with beautifully chased acanthus leaves alternating with flowers sprays.
The set rests on columns decorated with flowers seedlings ending on a square section base with, just at the junction, a gorgeously chiseled pearl taurus.
The Gilding is intact and of excellent quality.
The Cassolettes are 10.62 inches high and3.07 inches wide at the base.
