A Beautiful Pair of French Silver and Crystal Decanters or ‘Carafes’, by Maitre Orfèvre Gaston BARDIES.
As they stand a little higher then the usual decanter, we would be more inclined to think of them as Wine Carafes.
The Crystal has been wheel cut on the sides of the Carafes into lovely diamond patterns.
The bottom of the carafes are wheel cut into a star shape.
The Silver tops are very elegant with the same diamond shapes decorating its sides.
The neck of the decanters are circled with silver showing again the same diamond design towards the base.
This same design is again found at silver covered foot of the decanters.
The work is absolutely stunning and the pieces are in brilliant condition with no chips.
They come in their oroginal presentation box which is in fair condition.
