A lovely Louis XVI Style Putto Topped Onyx and Bronze Clock.
The clock features a truncated and fluted column shaft rests on a square base with four spinning tops shaped ormolu feet.
The putto is in patinated bronze and is seen playing the tambourine.
The onyx base of the clock features ormolu friezes of pearls, bows and garlands of flowers, and rests on spinning top feet.
The white enameled dial is delicately festooned with enameled flowers, while the dial hands are in delicate swirls of ormolu.
Though decorated in the Louis XVI Style the piece dates back to Circa 1860.
