Delicate Antique French Silver Dessert Set by Maître Orfèvre Eugène COLLET
This lovely set of 12 spoons and a large Service Spoon was created to enjoy fresh Fruits.
All pieces are decorated on the handles with floral scrolls and a DB monogram.
The Set comprises of twelve individual spoons and 1 sugar sifter spoon. The Fashion being in the 19th century of sifting sugar atop cut fruit for lighter desserts.
The work of the sifter spoon cutout is very delicate showcasing a lovely rosette.
The individual spoons are 6.22 inches long.
The sugar sifter spoon is 8.11 inches long.

The Hallmark is Minerva 1-1st title (950/1000) – Hence 1838 to 1919 – Paris
The Makers Mark is for Maître Orfèvre Eugène COLLET and shows an E and C separated by a button topped by an amethyst.
His mark was registered on September 22nd 1866 and cancelled on May 20th 1879.
His workshop was located 28 Rue aux Ours in Paris.
