An elegant Pair of Antique French, Louis XVI ,Gilt Bronze and Patinated Cassolettes.
The two Cassolettes show a square pedestal lined with a geometric décor.
The Body rises in the form of an antique amphora and is decorated in the upper part by beautifully detailed lion’s heads, which hold laurel wreaths in their jaws.
The handle are squared in the Greek style and the finial is in the shape of a flame.
The top part is reversible enabling the pair to be turned either into a decorative item or into Candlesticks.
This beautiful pair dates back to circa 1780.
