A Lovely and very large Silver and Crystal Bonbonnière, decorated in the Louis XV Style.
The Heavy crystal body is decorated with wheel cut floral scrolls, with the upper part lined with Silver that is worked in a vague peignee (or combed wave) design.
The round and slightly domed lid is made of solid silver and decorated in the Rocaille style with floral scrolls and features a beautiful JG Monogram.
Perfect to put either candies or chocolate.
The silver weight given is that of the lid.
The Hallmark is Minerva 1 (1st title silver -950/1000) for Paris 1838-1919
The Makers Mark is unfortunately not complete enough to be identified.
