A Gorgeous Pair of Antique French, Louis XVI time, Gilt Bronze Cassolettes.
The two Cassolettes show a square pedestal resting on spheres of gilt bronze and lined with acanthus leaves and bronze pearls.
The Body rises in the form of an antique column and give way to an urn shaped centre decorated by acanthus leaves garlands and ribbons.
The top part is reversible enabling the pair to be turned either into a Pot Pourri or Candlesticks.
The gilding and patina is beautiful
This beautiful pair is entirely made of Gilt Bronze or Ormolu and date back to circa 1780.
