Gorgeous 18th Century French Ink Drawing Projects Of Fountains.
The charming drawings are executed in ink and brown wash in masterful strokes which bring to life the scene depicted.
In one of the projects a Siren rises in the middles of the Fountain serenated by Pan flute bearing Satyr, while two others help her out of the water.
The Second drawing shows a Nymph reclining on a Satyr who in turn holds up a large Seashell from which water drapes down.
The drawing is gorgeous…strokes simple, strong and full of life!
The Gilt wood frames are original as is the mat surrounding the drawing.
