A Large Plated Silver Caviar Bowl by the House of Christian DIOR! We do not usually dabble with Plated Silver items, but this came to us as a special request!
The lower container is worked on its upper rim with a wreath of laurel leaf, while the body rests on 4 lions paws which link to the body through acanthus leaves.
The Caviar container is in delicate blown glass and has a dolphin decorated lid.
An interesting piece for the holiday season or for a special occasion!
The House of Christian DIOR is known for its lovely cloth line, but did from time to time come up with special pieces dealing in home decor or Art of the Table.
Christian DIOR famously first started his namesake Couture Empire in 1947.
Today the brand still enchants the fashion world!
